Members Night

For this meeting we will have an open forum for members to share their slides, birding stories, bird information, etc., to share with others members. Bring your birding questions as well.

Pete Davidson, President of Onondaga Audubon Society is asking for all available OAS members to attend the May General Meeting for voting for the next Board of Directors and Officers. The OAS Slate as proposed at the April Meeting is as follows:

OAS BANQUET

Dr. John Confer will be our banquet speaker. Dr. Confer is a Emeritus Professor from Ithaca College. He has taught classes specifically dealing with Animal Ecology and Ornithology. His research has concentrated on species diversity and abundance as well as man's impact on brush land birds in natural ecosystems. some of Dr. Confer's more recent research involves, measuring the frequency of hybridization in birds by DNA analyses. For the OAS banquet, he will be discussing the biology and ecology of Golden-winged and Blue-winged Warblers.

The OAS Banquet will be held from 6:00 - 9:00 PM at Drumlins Country Club. The Banquet will begin at 6 PM with a cocktail hour (cash bar) and our main meal will begin at 7 PM, followed by a program by our guest speaker, Dr. John Confer.

Banquet registration is $30 per person, including dinner. Dinner reservations should be in by June 5, 2007 to Judith Lockwood at (315) 6T73-1487 Or rjcl2@usadatanet.net. Please give us your name, telephone number and number for dinner. Please pay at door.

	OAS meets the second Wednesday of September, October, November, December, March, April, May and June at May Memorial Unitarian Church in DeWitt. This Church is located at 3800 E Genesee St., Syracuse, NY (clicking on this link will take you to the Mapquest web site with a map to the meeting location) Meetings run from 7pm to about 9 pm. The usual format is a brief round of announcements, then a break for refreshments and socializing, and then the night's slide program. All meetings and programs are free and open to the public.
